Just want some opinions,

The wife needs a smaller car and were sick of sub 30 to the gallon car. She only does about 5k per year tootling round and wants something small.

She wants either a Fiat 500 sport 1.3 diesel or a 1.2 Corsa sxi

Anyone got experiences of either?

  • I bought a new 500 Twin Air for the missus, it's just turned 12 months old.

It's surprisingly quick, road tax is free and on a decent run I can get between 65 - 70mpg. Doing the school run it drops to 50 - 55mpg.

It's a great car, just had its first service at 18k which was £170 or so and i'd definitely buy another.

what about suzuki alto? not a bad car and perfectly capable economy wise
I rode what you dug last summer
  • Not sure about the Suzuki, she always wants the sporty bits (alloys, upgraded interior etc) I wanted her to get the Swift sport until I saw how shitty the consumption is.

I'm disappointed with so many responses.

    Be ashamed of yourselves.

  • Tell her to buy her fukking own.
  • @clunkers. Why? We both work and pool our money. Surely that's how most marriages work? And shoot she's got me by balls anyhow with having 2 children.

@kickingmule...is that your missus ? Next you will be saying you wear bright shell suits and smoke cigars. Now then now then how's about that then...
