Hi
Just bought an old Colnago frame- one of the airbrushed artwork ones- pic below- and was wondering what to with regards to seatpost / stem / bar combo? Do I go all Colnago or cheaper Deda? Want Italian- will probably go with either Centaur or Athena Carbon groupset.

Nice, a few people on here have built up older Colnago frames if you have a search, this one for example....

I think velonutter on here has one amongst others.
Put some pics up when it's done 8)"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Beautiful frame, always wanted something like that myself and one day I'll have it!!!
I'd say deda stuff is great and will work well with the frame. If you have a fortune to drop then of course go colnago but personally I'd be buying deda finishing kit.Look 566 viewtopic.php?f=40044&t=12892775&p=18015091#p18015091

IME Deda finishing kits are very good, no need to spend silly on that stuff.
Ritchey are also very good but not Italian (not that I mind mixing).
Get what looks nice and is comfortable - forget grand ideas of 'keeping it real' and all that. You have to ride it and need to like how it feels for long periods in the saddle.Yellow is the new Black.0
