I think I may have a tapeworm

Anyone else eating stupid amounts of food that don't necessarily correlate to the amount of cycling?

Last night - large plate of lasagne and two glasses of wine with current gentleman caller (yep, so far so good)

Had chocolate muesli for breakfast, then a banana and a tracker when I got to work, then I couldn't wait any longer and ate a chicken sandwich and an apple by half nine, and I've just had to go to Asda across the road and get another sandwich, a bag of crisps and um, two Wispas. And I'm still not full. I'm not even doing riding at weekends at the moment due to work things - UCI election, AGM prep, D-I-flipping-Y etc.

I feel like something is making me fatten up for winter and I don't like it. But if it's a tapeworm I might keep it - I wasn't allowed pets when I was a kid.
Commute: Chadderton - Sportcity

There's something about the phrase "current" gentleman caller...

Reminds me of my father, who still introduces my mother as his "first wife".

    Eating for two?
Thats a serious amount of food/ calories. I would estimate that in the last 24 hours you are close to 3000 calories which would seem a lot for a woman. Of course it all depends on your own size and metabolism and activity levels but if you keep on like that you may find that the gentleman calls less often.

You don't wait until winter to prepare for hibernation, you do it during the harvest season. Now we are in September, you should see my plums.

We have that table, in yellow #brightlycolouredplastichell

That is a nice bowl of plums, though. Our harvest has been rather mediocre this year. Toms were a dead loss; one cucumber and two miniature courgettes. Loads of spuds and cherries earlier in the year.

You call that a stupid amount of food...lightweight

It could be the opposite of eating for two. That causes me to eat excessively.

    I have similar symptoms.

Could I also be eating for two?

Now that would be a headline.

You lot are disgusting. (but very funny  )

I can categorically state I am not eating for two. Unless I do have a tapeworm, then I would be. Definitely not the other - I don't put out *that* easily. Despite appearances, I am not actually a drunken chocolate addicted bike riding Manc slapper. Much

  • I've noticed I'm more hungry now than I was a few weeks ago. I think it's probably due to daylight length, as you say, the body preparing for winter.

So that is why we ended up in a Harvester on Sunday, in which I then proceeded to eat a whole animal and then have a bucket of ice cream for pud!

All I got from the OP was Wispas? Ew, who eat's wispa bars? Dreadful things, it's snickers or twix and nowt else.

Also Ms Manc you're eating because:

    1. It's all the sex you're getting.
    2. You're adding mass to aid inertia and increase the enjoyment of all the sex you're getting.
    3. It's all the sex you're getting and now you're pregnant.

But seriously, have you used any apps/tinterwebz sites to calculate calories burned whilst cycling? My commute is worth 1700 a day....
