Cassette numbers help? Does it all work?
Hi Guys.
I recently brought a secondhand bike from France and my rear wheel has decided to give up on me, bearing / Spokes she’s as good as gone, so time to invest
Now I've been running a Shimano derailleur / Shifters with a Campagnola Cassette, I've only just found out that your not supposed to mix and match but this is how the bike come. Amateur.
I've managed to source some wheels which are Shimano fitting and now I'm looking for the correct cassette.
My rear derailleur is a ULTEGRA RD6500 so 27 / 28 teeth max ( according to the internet )
I'm running 52 and 39 front cogs.
My old Cassette was a CAMPAGNOLA 13 to 26 --- 9 SPEED ( Running on a Shimano HG Chain I brought in France )
Can i just go ahead and buy any Shimano 9 SPEED cassette from 11 to 27 without making any adjustments to my setup
( maybe a link or two out of the chain at most )
My bike isn't worth a huge amount so I'm trying to avoid having to change the whole Shhhha bang, Front derailleur’s etc..
Thanks for the help

Should work ok, if you have had the chain more than 1500-2000 miles you may need to change that as well.0
