Evans C2W burning a hole!

Hi
I have been looking for a CX bike in the classifieds and on Ebay, for use as a winter hack, to try my hand at CX racing in the off season and for use for family pootling next year.
I had initially set a budget of £500 - £600, but lo and behold, my employer has just opened a C2W scheme up with Evans.
I'm no stranger to C2W, so know the ups and downs, but now with 1k (potentially) burning a hole in my back pocket I wondered what your choice would be.
Incidentally I will now use the budget i had for some new wheels for my road bike in the spring :-)

help me decide...i am leaning towards the caadx 2014 just on looks, not to worried about it having 105, as I have this on my road bike and will upgrade the groupo on that at a later date and hand it down to the cx

The cannondale with disks looks good, especially if you're going to upgrade it to 105. Probably paying a bit for the name next to the pinnacle a bit but hey, it's a lovely looking bike.0

I've not tried the Canondales, but I had a test ride on the Pinnacle and it felt kind of dead. Hard to describe other than that. I tried a Genesis Croix de Fer at the same time and although much heavier, it felt faster and livelier. But I bought the Kinesis, which I'm very happy with.0

This would actually be my choice of the Evans bikes. I never used to be bothered about Trek at all but then I rode one back to back with a Scott and a Specialized and it was streets ahead. Can't vouch for this one but it comes in fairly cheap compared to the others and with a 105 upgrade would be really nice.

I would go for discs if you are using it as a winter bike - just to avoid going through so many rims!0

My 2013 Caadx has been great. I see the 2014 model now has disc brakes so even better. I usually ride a 54cm frame but got a 51cm Caadx as they size a bit differently. My BB30 started to creak recently but its being regreased and checked under warranty after 6 months of use.1998 Kona Cindercone in singlespeed commute spec
