New Road Wheels

hello fellow cyclists,
I want to upgrade my wheels on my cannondale supersix. It currently has shimano RS10's, I have been loking at the Shimano RS80's. Can anyone shed any light on the RS80's? Are they any good etc? or in anyone elses opinion are there better wheels to be had around the £400 region. Any of your views are greatly accepted.
Cheers

Having had some RS80's that lasted a very short time, I would not recommend them.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0

I wouldn't recommend RS80's to anyone much over 12st (drawback of having so few spokes) but at the price they are very good wheels and the lighter you are the better they are.
I'm not sure if Sloppy Schleckonds had a bad set or is too heavy for them but for the price (£315 if you shop around) I think they're an excellent option.
Spend more and I'd say handbuilts but that price point puts you in an odd space between cheap and expensive where handbuilts aren't all that competative (unless your priority is durability in which case they're always the answer).0 -
Marco - I mean this with the very best of intentions, your question about RS80s is a really common one. Look down the thread titles in Road Buying Advice and you will find numerous queries and (a lot!) of answers. Happy reading!http://www.georgesfoundation.org
