Did the Wakefield Hospice Sportive today. 70 miles passing over Holme Moss, Snake Pass and Strines Moor. Managed the whole thing without stopping (put right foot down 3 times - 2 sets of lights and one t-junction) in 4.31 and average speed of 16mph.
I'm sure I didn't break any records or get the quickest time, but really happy with the effort - was still doing 22-23mph in the final mile - which should set me in good stead for the Etape Pennines in a fortnight.
Sofabound for a good few hours now!

That last mile was pretty easy though, me and my son were doing 20mph on our mtb's .

Oh I know - it was flat as a pancake. I was surprised how much energy I had left is all.0
