Hi,

Just a bit stuck understanding all this headset and seatpost sizing stuff. What headset do I need to run standard straight 1'18 forks and what size seat post and seat post clamp do i need?

Any help would be much appreciated,

Cheers

what does it say on their webby?
"Do not follow where the path may lead, Go instead where there is no path, and Leave a Trail."

  • No idea, cant seem to find anything. I need sizes for all the stuff. Would this headset work for the 44mm headtube to run straight steerer forks. It says road in the description so I have really no idea....

yes that is a standard internal headset.

does the frame take a Zero stack headset ?

looks like most of the info is here.

  • Hi, I run a standard Blue pig Mk2 (same as the pig X but out of standard cro-mo rather than the fancy true temper stuff). The frame is designed around an external lower cup, fitting an internal like the one you linked may lead to fork crown clearance issues. I run one of these:

30.9 seatpost and 34.9 clamp. Assuming you're buying the frame second hand, there should be one of these shims on the top of the post to take it from 33.2 to 34.9.

  • Thanks alot guys, internal CK headset came today and it fitted with no clearance issues for fork so all good. Wasn't going to pay a fiver for a shim so made on from a bit of alu sheet and wrote ragley on with sharpie. Same thing tbh....

Lovely frames and happy its all together now! Thanks again!!
