£1500 to spend. Jake the Snake, Felt FX65 or other?

I've been looking at CX bikes for a while and set my budget at £1500 max.

I'm not massively fond of the 2014 colour change on Jake the Snake, but I like the mix of components and the change to disc brakes. I've also seen the Felt FX65 which looks great in the flesh, plus is £200 less.

Any pros or cons of either bike? Or are there other gems at the £1000-£1500 price range? The choice of bikes is vast!

I've got the Felt F65x & I love it (do like my Felt's though)

Great colour scheme, went to LBS for a "look" came out with one as it looks fantastic. Rides well to.

Buy this, there is 1 left. I agree with the comment that the brakes are not very powerful, but the rest of it is a killer deal.

The felt is a great looking bike but from what ive seen you can get better spec for the money.

Have a look at the Giant TCX SLR 2 2014, i'm struggling to find anything that will beat it spec wise at the price. The Ridley X-Bow 10 Disc 2014 is a nice looking bike as well as being well specced out for the money, im finding it hard to choose between these two at the moment.

I've been racing on an XLS this season, and it's a complete weapon. Feels pretty stiff, very nimble handling, and a very comfortable top tube for shouldering. I bought a frameset, and didn't have too much trouble building up the complete bike at a shade under 8kg. Worth ordering a spare mech hanger or two if you're expecting to crash it, as they've been quite hard to get hold of until very recently.

It's very much a race bike; no mounting points for rack, mudguards etc.

The PX look like a really good buy, but it's only in stock in one size right now.
