Looking at buying a Supersix from Germany. Where would I stand with any warranty issues?

Constructive as ever.
I really am very appreciative of your insightful post.0 -
usually 2 year warranty in the big bit of europe, no idea whether this is different to the UK warranty time.
Read their terms and conditions on their web site before purchase.
I have had a small problem with a bike bought from the uk (CRC) they just asked me to take it to a LBS and send them the bill, It was easier to fix it myself and so crc gave me a credit code, to cover my time and inconvenience, for my next purchase.my isetta is a 300cc bike0 -

No problem. You could always ask first at your LBS if they would be so kind to sort out any warranty issues that may occur.
Let me know what they say.I'm sorry you don't believe in miracles0 -
And I wonder what their reaction would be..... Oh yes only too glad too, take your chance and buy from Germany, can't help but agree with sloppy (for once)0

Funny you should mention about what my LBS would say as I rode with them/him today. As he doesn't seem to think he can source what I can from Germany due to difference specs/colours etc and the amount of business I've sent his way he would have no problem helping me with warranty stuff.
I should have been more descriptive in my original post. I think what I meant to say was would Cannondale UK honour warranty claims for bikes purchase in another country/Europe?0 -

"In addition to the risks described above, with one exception, purchasing a Cannondale bicycle via the internet voids all product warranties."
So, if you went to Germany and bought a bike in person, you would be covered under international warranty
"For any warranty claim to be considered, the bicycle must be brought in to an Authorized Cannondale Bicycle Retailer on the same continent on which the bicycle was purchased. The bicycle must be in assembled condition and accompanied by the original, dated sales receipt for the bicycle. (Be sure to keep your receipt in a safe place.)"0 -

Why can't your LBS answer your questions regarding warranty if you are that pally with them?? Surely they can speak to their Rep?0 -
As far as I know, manufacturers are obliged to honour warranties throughout Europe, even though they love to insert get out clauses. (which are illegal).
Think about it - you buy a Cannondale in Germany/UK/France, then your job forces you to move to France/UK/Germany. On arrival, your frame snaps in half - don't tell me your bike isn't guaranteed anymore.
In my experience, retailers LOVE to kick up a fuss if they find out the product has not been bought in their country. But stand up to them, your guarantee should stand.
(As I live in France and buy most stuff from the UK, I get this all the time).0 -

It might have been brief but it's factually true"Arran, you are like the Tony Benn of smut. You have never diluted your depravity and always stand by your beliefs. You have my respect sir and your wife my pity"

Why not ask Evans how they deal with this? I mean after all you can press Buy against a Cannondale on their site0 -
