Mechanical group set on VN astraeus frame

I have the above frame which was advertised as Di2 compatible - can I fit a mechanical group set instead?

    They sell it with 105, so I can't see why it wouldn't be possible. Compatible doesn't mean exclusively.

    By the way, why have you bought a £2000 frame without checking out if it works with mechanical first?
