I would just plug the hole with some superglue and keep riding it. If it gets worse, or if you get flats through it, then bin it.
  • Cheers ill give it a try, should i deflate the tyre first?..ta

    It's bulging - I'd replace it ...

Not much point plugging a hole in a flexible tyre with an extremely inflexible glue (ie superglue). If anything, I suppose I'd try rubber solution and a bit of old tyre cut to shape (plus another bit on the inside). But I think Slowbike is right - it does seem to have a bulge.
    Faster than a tent.......
  • The bulge appears to be from just inside the hole... It's not all he way through
  • Are these not the Rubino that you can get for 15 quid?

If you are going to use a glue do not use super glue, it goes hard once it sets. I have used black witch which is rubber based and is used for wet suit repair, wiggle stocks it.
  • If the tyre fails at 30mph your looking at new pants and a new tyre so could be more expensive in the long run.

Thats quite a big wee hole - I'd watch that tyre.
  • For peace of mind I'd change it. Why risk a blow out and possible injury?

Having said buy a new one I've just tried a repair on my cut sidewall ....
Hit something in the road on the way home - that's the third tyre with a cut sidewall sine July :( hoping the repair should keep the tube in ... It's pumped up and I'll see what happens overnight.
