I have some miche primato hubs on H plus archetype rims. When i spin the rear wheel,(not on freewheel)there is a tapping sound like the bearings are moving, best example i can give is sounds like marbles hitting each other or a newton's craddle. Any ideas what it could be or what i have to do to eradicate it?

  • Any play?
Any grinding if you turn the hub by hand?

In the absence of any of those, it's not the hub

No sign of play or grinding. What else could it be then, Freewheel?

You probably have some debris inside the rim... it's not unusual in Archetype rims... flakes of alloy coming from the drilling process. Remove tyre and tube and peel off the rim tape, that should help the debris come off from the holes. Or just ignore it, it won't do any harm and if the wheel spins fast it won't move
