After a beanie to wear under my lid, preferably windproof, tried a windstopper one, wasnt thick enough to stop my ears getting cold and I cant bring myself to wear the ear warmer head band things. Any suggestions (Assos look nice but £35+ seems a bit excessive.

I used the Assos Fugu Cap last winter. It is expensive - think i paid c.£39. But it was my most reliable and 'glad for' piece of clothing last winter. An absolute winner in cold and wet (obviously it's not waterproof, but doesn't get sodden and allows your bonce to breathe nicely).

I've had a few skull caps, and I've found that the Ground Effect Baked Beanie are quite tight fitting, and I don't have a big head (medium). One of the better budget ones i've tried is one from Polaris, or if the budget allows, the Assos Stinger is THE best one imo. £17 at the right place.

Giro do a nice winter merino peaked cap, warm but not hot and it doesn't itch, plus it's not bulky so it fits nicely under a helmet.

I have a brand new Altura one (still in bag with tags). I'll post it to you for £10. One size and has a windproof front panel. PM me if you're interested.

Seems this is no longer available. In fact I've noticed an increasing amount of DHB gear is no longer available.

No worries. Ground effect kit is good. My Brother is a walking/riding advertising board for them. Delivery is pretty quick too!

Any recommendations for a beanie with a visor? Needs to be quite thin, have quite a snug helmet.

I have one of them. Very good bit of kit. The one gripe I have is that it's a tight fit under my Kask K10. Not annoyingly tight but tighter than my skull cap and a regular cap (not worn together!!!)

You can always send it back for free if you get from Wiggle. I'm a hat size 59cm and ordered the L/XL if that's any help.

Just noticed the Craft one is out of stock from most places. How about this one, I was going to buy this until I got a discount code from Wiggle:

If its Prendas' own then it's bound to be spot on.
