I am just about to make my first foray into MTB and I am struggling to understand what bike offers the best overall package. There are a few choices that I am limited to and would like some input on components and general thoughts on the models I'm considering. The three I'm looking at are:

SCOTT SCALE 660

BH BIKES 27.5er EXPERT 7.3

MERIDA MATTS TFS 900-D

I will generally be riding easy to intermediate cross country trails.

Thanks in advance for any help,

Tom

I only had a quick scan through, but that merida looks the best spec. i'm not sure what those Manitou forks are like though. sonic can probably shed some light on that for you.
  • I've read some good reviews on the Scott Scale 960 the 29er version and so am leaning toward this as a choice (the 660, 26inch I mean), how does the spec hold up in its price bracket of 800-1000 GBP?
