I am just about to make my first foray into MTB and I am struggling to understand what bike offers the best overall package. There are a few choices that I am limited to and would like some input on components and general thoughts on the models I'm considering. The three I'm looking at are:
SCOTT SCALE 660

BH BIKES 27.5er EXPERT 7.3

MERIDA MATTS TFS 900-D

I will generally be riding easy to intermediate cross country trails.
Thanks in advance for any help,
Tom

I only had a quick scan through, but that merida looks the best spec. i'm not sure what those Manitou forks are like though. sonic can probably shed some light on that for you.0

I've read some good reviews on the Scott Scale 960 the 29er version and so am leaning toward this as a choice (the 660, 26inch I mean), how does the spec hold up in its price bracket of 800-1000 GBP?0
