Ive just ordered a bike and the forks have the evo cartridge, is there any real difference between that and the FIT? Well one thats worth shelling out the extra £££ for? Or is it just something I wouldn't notice as Its my first propper mtb. However I want something that's a bit future proof and going to last.
Some Wise advise please.

Try it and see if you like it or not. No point in upgrading until you know theres a problem.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

Just bought some 32 RL's with the Evo damper and have run 32 RLC's with the FIT damper for 2 years. The FIT damper is exceptional, super controlled, plush and easily adjustable. The RL's feel a little different, but not been for a proper ride, still felt better than the Rockshox Revelations they replaced.
Tbh if it's your first proper MTB it will probably be more than adequate and if down the line you feel the need to upgrade, Mojo can easily pop in the FIT damper when it's time for them to be serviced, although the price of doing this has recently shot up considerably.0 -
Probably not worth the extra £250 then. The rear shock is the kashima ctd w trail adjust, it won't feel out of sync with the forks being the basic evo will they?SHUT UP AND RIDE!!!

they had issues with small bump sensitivity with the FIT damper but that may have been solved and its not really a home service job unlike the OC unit. I was thinking about getting some fox 140mm forks and the difference between the O/C and the next model up is £150 but you also get kashima coat and trail adjust CTD too but I'm not really sure its worth it0

Its never worth paying extra for Kashima. You get more of an improvement for about £30 by fitting low friction seals.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350

The RL damper is very basic, no compression control at all.0

it has three positions compared to 5 on the trail adjust not exactly a huge difference. ok its not the 8 clicks of ABS+ control but it has some compression control which is contrary to your original statement of "no compression control at all" I can't tell a huge difference between most of the clicks on my ABS+ damper, mine is set in the middle and I leave it there.0 -
Think I'll stick with the evos for now and probably upgrade in the future as I'm just a novice and I just want to ride the bike, rather than fiddle with fancy parts.
Thanks for the input peopleSHUT UP AND RIDE!!!
