I would say yes do it.
Are you going gain 30 secs for that KOM?
Of course not.
You will maybe shave (see what I did there) 7 or 8 seconds off your PB at most.
It's not a good look though so you might want to draw on new eyebrows with a permanent marker pen.
"You really think you can burn off sugar with exercise?" downhill paul
I did it on the advice of a respected friend. Once done my mate told me that I "look like a right censored ". On seeing my disappointment he kindly explained that the expression, in the 'roadie world', was actually slang and meant that I looked like a "TDF God" and would indeed be very beneficial to my progress. So go for it.
Just shave one of them off to see if it gains you 15 seconds
come on, the OP has asked a serious question. Perhaps shave off half of each one
+1 if you just shave one you will get uneven drag, unless of course the segment is curved predominantly in one direction, if you shave the correct side it could increase speed on these bends.
maybe if you were to use immac or some other hair removal cream, apply it just before the segment and then as you start to tire the hair will begin to fall out and give you the extra boost when you need it most!
start with your pubes and work your way up checking time increments on the way
I was about to say this thread needs before and after pics until I read the above.
Do it by tweezering them one by one but ride the segment hard between each pluck. That way you can look at the marginal gain from each hair being removed and, I bet, after taking them all out the KOM will be yours.
you can shave off your eyebrows - but they are non rotating mass you'd be better off shaving the same amount of hair off your feet - as your feet are rotating mass...so you'll be faster up hills for the same weight saving.
I'm surprised no one else has pointed this out frankly
You need to shave them into little spots. It's more aerodynamically efficient to generate a thin turbulent layer of air across your eyebrows than having them completely smooth. It's the same technology that Zipp use in their rims.
Thanks all... you are the best! I had a good hour working on them this morning and spent today's ride looking very 'surprised'. That KOM will be mine next week...
Phht, eyebrows are so last year. I have blocked up my hostrils with bathroom silicon (white to match bartape and saddle), pushing more air into my gaping mouth and therefore "supercharging", my lungs. I am better at everything by doing this. Pics to come, in an Ezy decals kinda way.
I don't mean to brag, I don't mean to boast, but I'm intercontinental when I eat French toast...

What's Strava?
It's a race, in fact it's better than a race because you're racing the whole world.

Nah, it made you fall off. Did you just do the one and then over balance?
