Derailure hitting the frame

I need a little help.

When i installed my slx rear mech it seems to hit the frame when shifting down into the bottom cog (9th). I have the B tension screw all the way in. Any ideas on how to stop this?

b tension screw is adjusted on the big cog. What is the frame? Looks like a shortish hanger, and the mech isn't compatible. Have you tried a non shadow mech. Horrible things anyway.

Specialized FSR XC frame (2009) I haven't tried another mech as i don't have one to hand.

Chain the correct length? B tension screw correct for the cassette, not just wound all the way in to pull it out from the frame? I fitted an XT shadow mech to a 2007 stumpy, with very similar back end and identical hanger, with no trouble at all.

Chain could maybe do with 1 link out but I can't see that would make a huge difference?

Think you maybe haven't seated the mech on the tab that stops it rotating around on the hanger?

That could be it. Looks like the tip of the hanger sticking out the bottom.

Fixed now. God knows how I missed that.
