McQuaid or Cookson? Ha! Don't be silly. That's not where the power is.

According to Inner Ring, via Daniel Baal, the Amaury Group, including the ASO, is up for sale.

Who will buy? Makarov, Bakala, News International?

Inner Ring reckons it will be the Qataris, which makes sense.

Don't tell me - they made their bid with a promise to hold the entire Tour in Qatar, in July, and air-condition the whole route?

Don't worry. They'll just move all the Classics so they can hold the Tour in March.

Would be funny if someone like AEG went for it.

Looking forward to seeing them try to move Mont Ventoux.
