Hi,

I got my first road bike a couple of years back a Trek 1.5 Tiagra for about £700 after mainly taking an interest in mountain biking. Over that time my interest in road cycling has really grown and I have used the bike a lot in that time and my mountain bike less and less.

So I feel like the time has come to upgrade to something a bit fancier as I want to start doing some sportives and pushing myself a bit more on the bike with distances and intensity.

My budget is a max of £1700 and I have noticed with the 2014 models coming out there seem to be some good deals around on the web. A Felt Z4 particularly caught my eye on Wiggle especially as it had been given a good write up in this months Cycling Plus and to my fairly limited knowledge it seemed to be a well specced bike for the money. I'm 5'10" with an inside leg of about 31" so either a 54cm or 56cm which are in stock should be about right for me.

Before I noticed this one I had been looking at things like a Trek Madone 4.5. Does the Felt seem like a good bike, or are there better things out there for the money?

Thanks, Chris

Looks OK to me, I wouldn't say no to it. Have a look at Canyon they have a sale on 2013 bikes at the moment also as you have said lots more bargains out there. Good hunting. :)
