Brake Rotors

Currently running a 160mm rotor front and back, but I'm looking to replace the front with a 180mm to get more power, as occasionally during a long descent i can find myself hard on the brakes to little effect.
I know i'll need one of these adaptors;

and that my hubs are centrelock, not 6-bolt. Should i run a 6-bolt with an adaptor for a wider range to choose from? Could you suggest some good rotors in the €20-€40 (£17-34) range?
Thanks.

I would just get some centre lock rotors no point in getting an adapter as well
one of these would be fine

or

as for the adapter it will depend on your forks are they IS or Post mount?Specialized Camber Expert

Are you sure that's the correct adapter? Looks to me likes its to convert a 180mm rotor from post mount to IS mount.
If your changing rotor sizes you need to effectively push your calliper away from the fork to make space for the larger rotor.
Presuming you have post mount forks which is most likely you'll need something more like this:

So one is post to post and one post to IS. Both for 180mm rotors - depends what mounts he has. They are both for the same size rotor.I don't do smileys.

Thanks for the advice. The adapter is definitely correct, i have IS mounts on my fork and PM brakes. I'm currently using the slightly smaller version,

Which became necessary after i broke my shitty suntour fork and had to replace it.0 -

if your forks can run 203mm then run them as they are only a few quid more. I run 203 front 160 rear ICETECH rotors on mine0 -

Looks nice, but a bit over my price range. and I'm not sure if i can run 203's.0 -
Unless you are doing gnarrly downhill stuff or weigh 1000 lbs I doubt you need them anyway.I don't do smileys.

depends on the whole braking system not just the rotor, I don't get that with my hope MM4.0
