Hi,
I'm looking to invest in a pair of bib shorts as up until now I've only worn regular waist shorts. I don't live near to any bike shop so I tend to buy all my kit online. Up until now this has never been a problem but I am slightly stuck on what size bib shorts to get. Most website seem to quote a combination of height, weight, waist and chest measurements to work out a size but i fall across several categories.
I'm 6ft 3, 32 inch waist, 38 inch chest and weigh about 74kg. Which of these measurements is most important in choosing a pair of bibs and are there any brands which are particularly suited for my body shape?

Many thanks :)

  • It's a bit of a minefield as European cut and UK cut are different. Work on your waist as prime.

    absolute bo!!ox. :D

For BIB shorts height is as imortant as anything, waist is irrelevent to a degree and they don't grip or fit to your waist. Gonad to shoulder height is the fit that counts.

I'm pretty similar measurements to you, an inch shorter and 2-3 kg heavier. I have both Nalini/Bianchi and Louis Ganeau in XL and they both fit me really well. From your measurement your failry normal so most brands should suit.
