Groupset compatibility

Hi all!
I've currently got a Raleigh airlite 100 2011, I was looking to buy and fit a new groupset. I was wondering if there are any compatibility issues between the frame and the Groupset I'd have to consider?
Thanks for any help in advance!

The only thing you need to be aware of is matching the bottom bracket shell of the bike with the BB of the chainset.
I'm assuming the frame has a standard BS (English) threaded BB shell, so would take older square taper cartridge type BBs, any of the Shimano HT2 outboard bearing types, Campag screw in bearings, FSA Gossamer / Mega-exo etc.
What you'd need to avoid is anything press-fit eg BB30 and the like
eg avoid doing this:

Thanks for your help!
I've taken a picture, not sure if it'll be helpful or not!

At the moment the brakes are very 'plasticky' and you need to have your hands on the hoods to shift down (there's some kind of thumb... I'm gonna say lever?).
I've been looking around eBay for something compatible with the English threaded bottom bracket shell.
Would you recommend getting the brakes and chain set separately?
I found this but it seems quite expensive (but what do I know?!)

Or how about this? It says 'English or Italian thread'
