Bloody tired today and will be another 18 hours before I get out of work.

Loco emailed me back last night saying the can sort my shock w/c 24th Sept, ie AFTER the cc2cc, thus leaving me bikeless for the ride. Looks like today will involve a spot of shopping.

Well round one of minion elimination has been completed, and we have 5 would-be-minions back today for interviewing. Got to say, the technical test I set them, which I was worried was a bit easy, proved to be a really good challenge! Only one walked through it with the look of 'where's the challenge?'

Tesco order is coming later, followed by Great British Bake Off, because it's cool, and you're not.

ste_t, that sucks… but if Loco/Mojo can repair it then I'd see this as fate deciding the bike isn't destined for the CCCC2CCCCC(can't actually remember how many Cs are involved so here's a few more for good measure)CCC, so the best solution would be to buy another bike on the basis of N+1 and worry about the shock at a later date.

Morning bumders

Today for me involves packing the car, a long drive down the M1, unpacking the car, and hoping the council has given me a parking permit and not refused the application, in which case I'll be attempting to dump it in uni for a few weeks. Also, my 4th favourite activity food shopping will take place and if I manage to be cheap enough then I may take part in some more of my 2nd favourite activity, bike related shopping.

Today I'm just trying to give a crap about anything and struggling. Work is a hold out till April for a payout then onto the jobs market and this makes it tough give a rats ass.

Least I should get the bike up and running tonight if my bits turn up then get some riding done.

Minion selection was completed yesterday and successful one chosen from five would-be candidates. Now I just need to get all the paperwork in place to get the next stage moving. If you ever need a simple thing complicated just involve your HR department.

Hatchet-faced b**ch was not in residence last night so a peaceful night’s sleep was had.

Nothing much else to report except swimming tonight to look forward to.

Work. Caught up successfully last night and then realised this morning it is my actual appraisal tomorrow afternoon so I may well be in a bad mood. Bridezilla has gone on honeymoon for three weeks now without paying me back the money she borrowed from me to pay cash to a load of suppliers so I am going to prepare a bill for her return.

Ringing around this afternoon to see when the earliest I can get a physio appointment is. Falling down the stairs drunk does not help your shoulder recover...

On the bright side as the wedding is over I now have my weekends back and no one to tell me I can't ride anymore so bikes this weekend!

Last day in work then 6 days off as it's my Birthday on Saturday and i don't do work on my Birthday. Shame i'm working until midnight today but ah well.
I also realised i'm crap with money and now can't afford to go out drinking on said Birthday.

Good afternoon reprobates
Date night last night was most excellent, I'd forgotten how much I enjoy snowboarding. Bonus being that it only cost £20 for 2 hours. Now I'm working out what I can avoid spending money on so I can go a couple more times before the special offer finishes. The other bonus was an accidental upgrade to XTR shifters, however of course now my OCD is kicking in and I want to upgrade all the other bits...
Today I have spent the morning fighting the CBA's and trying to actually get something done. Moderately successful thus far.
Later it's yoga time, try and get some core strength and flexibility back in these old bones.

Evening Pond Life,

I ache in places that shouldn't ache. 13 runs at Bike Park Wales yasterday was plenty. Tried a fair selection of runs and came off worse on a few occasions - body armour earned its keep yesterday . Managed to keep going with caffeine and paracetamol today but definitely going back for more punishement.

metal bashing exam today, piece of p1ss! Got an early stack after it so went and bought a new helmet for skiing!

next couple of days will be nice and quiet then its off to France for a couple of weeks in a tent and looking at houses for possibly retiring in that direction!
