Jump bike for ss xc?

I am looking to build a single speed xc bike.
I want a frame with ss dropouts.
Could I use a jump bike frame (With a long seat post xc tyres and wheels)?
I am not riding black routes and will probably go rigid with v brakes.
I might like to 69 too.
Any suggestions?
