After years of cycling I wanting to upgrade my aging, trusted Carrera. I'm more into distance than speed (although that's also due to the limitations on country roads) and I'm used to cycling on the poor (and at times rather hilly) roads of north Northumberland. I'm looking at the Giant Defy Advanced 2 and the Trek Madone 4.3 Triple. Evans recommended the latter to me and it looks a real possibility but I'm not sure if I really need the triple as I've got by to date. Any thoughts/opinions would be appreciated. I also use my son's road bike as I'm increasingly cycling on more 'mainstream roads' so I'm not looking for a specific ladies model.
