Why on earth can I not go into any of several local bike shops and get grease and oil for suspension forks . It's coming to something when you have to order online from Outer Mongolia !

Having said that many thanks to Petra Cycles Oxted Surrey ......no stock of fork grease but kindly decanted enough from their workshop tube for me to be able to service the fork .

Slight exaggeration don't you think, plenty of places to order from and all with rapid delivery.

Bike shops are generally pretty small so have limited room for stock, I'm guessing their experience is the demand for suspension oil/grease is sufficient to warrant the space in the shop. It's not rocket science...
  • For fork oil try a local motorbike store, one that has a MX section.

    As for stanchion lube, internet.
    Advocate of disc brakes.
  • Got my oil at motorcycle dealer ( a lot cheaper too ) , had to go via 2 different sites to get grease and seal / o rings . Frustrating having time to do job and parts arriving in dribs and drabs.
