That is an odd looking bike! Nice though

It isnt replacing anything. I have a Litespeed road bike (click on link in sig) which is pretty aero, however my plan is to do some Tri's next year and some TT's so wanted to get something more purposeful.

It looks odd however the position it places you in makes it perfect for speed and quad work ready for the run afterwards!
  • Love these TT bikes

  • I'd use that to commute to work - just to turn heads... 8)
  • Both very nice bikes, out of curiousity what are wheels on the transition?

Fairplay, some machine. Had a chance to take it for a spin? How does it compare to the Litespeed with clip on tri bars?

    Thanks - Chinese clinchers

It's a shame but the Transition has had no use since this thread was created. The weather has been too poor so I have been running, swimming and spinning.

I'm going to fit some new aero bars and extensions in the coming weeks ready for the tri seasons!

    lovely bike... 8)
  • Compared to the Shiv it's a complete dog's breakfast and was less evolved than what Cervelo had at the time, esp in terms of people's preferences. Cancellara did some great rides on one while at Saxo. Don't think it would hold any of us back.

Tri bikes are similar to dual suss bikes, in that a 5 year old example of either makes people recoil and exclaim "what were they thinking?"

Brilliant bike... Now would it be possible to fit it with pannier racks and mudguards and perhaps a nice carradice saddle bag? Oh and perhaps a nice basket on the front so it's suitable for audax, light touring and the occasional trip to tesco?

Sorry for taking the wee wee... The link for cake stop has moved along one. My apologies!
  • Great bikes that looks lovely. Im partial to a specialized tt bike myself. Just bought mine. Spent ages looking for a transitiona nd never found the right one but a shiv turned up instead. Once you get the position right they are crazy fast. Enjoy it but watch out for people not expecting you to be going quite as fast as you are!

  • I'd love a shiv however this trusty steed will do the job at my level.

I've replaced the standard vision bars for some aero carbon Planet X bars and extensions. It looks great and they weigh hardly anything. Just waiting for my vision brake level adapters to arrive.
  • Just need my Vision adapters to arrive now.
