Hello there, I want to buy a bike to start cycling to work and back (my work's about 30 miles away) its mainly just roads main roads and a lot of up hill. I was wondering if any of you guys could tell me which, in your opinion is the best bike out of these 3.

+1 for Oxoman. 16 miles takes me an extra 20 minutes on my mtb and it feels like I've done an extra 10 miles. Get yourself a road bike. Think about how you'll take your work clothes / lunch - rack and pannier, backpack or seat post mounted bag?0

Of the three the Speciallized looks like it'd be the most fun, nice aggressive but lightweight frame, for your purposes the Trek is the best suited as it saves weight by losing suspension. But for a 30mile hike on roads get a road bike not a hybrid.
Also from your list one is Womens (the Spec Ariel), one is Mens and the other doesn't specify so which are you?I used to just ride my bike to work but now I find myself going out looking for bigger and bigger hills.0 -
