Extra long 6mm hex in a hurry

Anyone know where I can get an extra long 6mm hex socket (for use with torque wrench) in the London area, or else somewhere online that does same day dispatch ? Most places I've found online do 3/4 day delivery but I really need it this weekend to work on my BB.

You have a Halfords anywhere nearby you could drop in and pick one up?
(are you sure you need a hex socket and not a hex bit?)0 -
How long is extra long and why do you need that for a BB? Is this a Campag Ultra-Torque type thing with a bolt through the length of the axle? By hex, are you meaning allen key type, rather than hex for a nut?
If so and you can't get one in a hurry, try cutting down a 6mm allen key (might need a grinder?) and using a 6mm socket on the end of it.0 -
keef66 - you're right, I meant a bit rather than socket. Something like this: http://toolstoday.co.uk/product/50234/s ... a-long-6mm
Me-109 - I need it to remove my Spesh S-Works crankset. Good suggestion about cutting down a 6mm key, I've got a Dremel so grinding isn't a problem.0 -
Have you tried RS components? They have places in Watford, Bow, Gatwick and Heathrow areas.

Machine Mart are everywhere and stock everything dirt cheap. Good quality stuff as well for home tinkering.0

I use a long T-handled 6mm allen wrench to remove my Sworks crankset. It's usually pretty damn tight.
Make sure it's not a post 2012 model though, as they went to Torx.0 -
These are without a doubt the finest bits that I have ever used!
