Has anyone got a Torm long sleeve "B2" base layer?

Any good? What conditions does it suit?

Thinking of getting a couple for an Alps trip and UK winter rides.

Cheers

  • You won't be cold, all their stuff is built for the cold side of the season. Their jerseys matched with the base layers will be my chosen outfit come winter.

    Bargain of the century IMHO.

I have a couple of their tops and love them but I am not sure their base layers will offer much over other merino wool base layers. They may even be less worm that pur merino wool tops.

I have a couple of PlanetX merino wool base layers - s/s and l/s. Brilliant for cycling and skiing.

I bought one a few weeks ago when buying another jersey. Only tried it on and feels very well made. It is fairly light in weight and only time will tell if it keeps me warm. I think the cuffs are a bit loose and it feels slighty itchy when on, I may wash it before I use it.

given the price and the fact they are sportwool and not simply merino, I'd choose the DHB 100% merino baselayers from Wiggle. They have a slightly lighter one at 150gsm which is half the price or a slightly heavier 190gsm version which is still loads cheaper. I have several of both and love them for all types of riding. The 190gsm is strictly for colder weather though.

You can also get a bundle 3 gorgeous Rapha baselayers for £140 and they are a step up again in quality and feel for only a few £ extra each if you're going to get 3 anyway?
