Love the stealthy look, has decals but very understated.Freebie pedals will be replaced with some 105s as soon as possible.
Baptism of fire in the Lake District next week

  • Lovely bike. Was on my short list but the extra £300 and non-availability at the time I was ordering swayed me towards the Ribble 872 which is very similar. Full 105 on mine and same wheels. Is this the new spec? they were advertising no stock until October last time I looked. Ultegra grey looks great against the matt grey frame. Be sure to update with a full ride report. Enjoy!

As far as I know it's the new spec.Mine's a 52cm but some sizes are unavailable until next month.I initially wanted the SRAM Force kitted bike but Planet-X now only use Shimano and a full Ultegra group-set on a carbon bike for the money is hard to beat 8)
Initial findings are it feels much lighter than my Focus Variado and I'm hoping the more relaxed Geometry will be more comfortable.I can't wait to get out on it now
  • Lovely bike, could I be cheeky and ask what height are you as the bike is a 52.
I am 5' 9" and as I am unable to try one out a bit afraid of ordering online. Unfortunately the 2 bikes I like are Planet X and Ribble :( models.
    Thanks in advance.

    I'm 5'6" at your height they'd probably recommend 54cm

Very smart, I think these are set to become the new Ribble R872 8)

different type of rider it's appealing to though. marketed as more of a sportive bike. geometries are quite similar though, the 872 having sligjtly more aggressive seat/head tube angles and a marginally longer tt. still think the ribble offers unbeatable value.

Isn't a similar specced Ribble around the same price though?
£1500 for the spec is bloody good value :)

Love this bike.Comfortable from the off, just had to tweak the bar position to make it 100%,very light and feels quick(roady mate had a blast and says it's fast) think I'll ditch the road pedals for egg-beaters but that's it 8)
  • Stunning photo and stunning bike. Took my 872 out for its maiden voyage today. similarly impressed. I see what you are saying about the spec. Does the RT-58 come with full Ultegra now?
