Which pedals for single/Fixie

Well, I've had a major turnaround once more on my quest for the ideal single/Fixie. Looking very likely it'll be the 2014 Langster now. I've made the call, its the logical choice, at the right price.
Thing is I now need to get some pedals. I think maybe something that will allow me to quickly hop on the bike without my riding shoes on, so maybe something that has a flat standard pedal on the other side for quick trips to the folks house etc.
So, what do you guys suggest?

can get a spd/flat pedal though the flat side is not terribly grippy for pottering be fine. but it wouldn't dig into shoes like a proper flat pedal like V8 and clones etc do.0

If its fixed - you dont want to ride it in normal shoes. I'd go with clipless and buy a pair of shoes that you can walk round in. You dont want your feet coming off the pedals.
Time Atac pedals are my favourites. Bombproof.0 -
Why not put normal pedals on that then can be converted? I was in the process of starting to build a fixie, but some unexpected budget pressures have declared otherwise.
I run Speedplays and planned to get a set of these for when I just wanted to hop on using it in SS mode to go out with the kids: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/spee ... -prod514800 -
I also use Time ATAC on two fixed bikes but the lower end model doesn't have tension adjustment screws. The path of my life is strewn with cowpats from the devil's own satanic herd.0

Well I've just swapped out SPD for SPD-SL on mine, I think SS + clipless pedals are a great combination and I'm happier on the new ones too. You may be OK riding them in normal shoes; seeing as there are no double sided SPD-SL / platform pedals out there I would be loathe to diminish my setup for the sake of better 'normal shoes' ability.0

Thanks for the replies peeps. I think another concern is that if I commit to a hill and I'm clipped in but find I can't make it I am more likely to have a clipless moment if I can't get my foot out quick enough.
Looks like I'm defo going with the Spesh Langster now. Called my LBS and they've knocked £60 off the brand new 2014 model on black. Well chuffed.0 -

Just release the spring/tension then if you are worried about that.0
