I'm watching the prologue, now.
...............and Peter Sagan wins. What a surprise.
Well, catching his minute man inside 7kms was, considering it was Jack Bobridge."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
So, 2 hours live scheduled for stage 1, but now only 18kms to go and...........................no pictures.
Tour of Utah anyone?"Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Stage profiles don't look great. I thought stage 2 looked OK on paper but I don't think there's any real ramp on the finish circuit.
Coverage is a joke.0 -
Hesjedal does a Pozzato - a whole lap too early. Oh dear.0
-
HAHAHAHA! Hesjedal celebrating 1 lap too early. Top that with his ridiculous glasses and you have a 100% complete fool.0

Just had a look at the stage profiles - he's going to win every single stage, isn't he0

Yes. Yes he is.0 -
He's in danger of becoming the cycling equivalent of a flat track bully.0

Rick Chasey's chipper rule must apply here.
Presumably he believes he has no hope at the WC if he's dicking around in Cananda“New York has the haircuts, London has the trousers, but Belfast has the reason!0 -
Having ridden in Alberta (albeit predominantly MTB) I am a little disappointed with the stage routes and profiles. It was always going to be difficult in a sparsely populated state with the two main centres of population so far apart (Calgary and Edmonton) and little in between but even so it wouldn't have taken a lot of imagination to get some serious Rockies action in around Canmore, Banff, Lake Louise etc. thereby still getting spectator involvement.Trail fun - Transition Bandit
Road - Wilier Izoard Centaur/Cube Agree C62 Disc
Allround - Cotic Solaris0 -
There was a planned finish in Canmore, but the recent floods have washed away a lot of infrastructure and the decision was made, rightly in my view, to move the finish elsewhere and allow reconstruction work to continue.0
-
The original plan was for a queen stage in the Rockies but floods in Jun forced them to change plans

As for Sagan...him riding all these SSRs in North America's is surely Cannondale's call, but it just aint that interesting as a spectacle0 -
Eurosport have ditched coverage of today's race.0

Would love to get one of those giant Sagan heads for my lad...My cycle racing blog: http://cyclingapprentice.wordpress.com/

Can someone tell DJ Tony Blackburn aka robbie hatch Alberta is in CANADA not the United States :evil:0

Hadn't heard it was back on, but by luck I caught the last 45kms.
Tidy racing.
Dennis owes Gesink a big than you for culling the big breakaway on the final climb.
Made the last 40 kms a mini echelon chase.
Peloton so far back, I gave up waiting."Science is a tool for cheaters". An anonymous French PE teacher.0 -
Nice win there by Evans but the peloton arriving nearly 10mins back is pure lightweight.
So much for Sagan winning every stage.
Congratulations to Rohan - having a storming year. Another youngster making it rain.Contador is the Greatest0 -
Ps. His celebration if you missed it

Any ideas why the Orica guy in the 9th photo down in that link is riding a Storck with Sram Red instead of a team issue bike?0

There was a comment on the backstage pass clip on YouTube about him, will try and find it now, but something with him being a first year and not receiving a bike yet- sounds odd though for WT team
edit Nope, apparently he won the opportunity
