campag wheel warranty issues

Have some campag scirroco wheels and the freehub has gone from the inside. Sent back to where I got them from and have been informed this isn't covered under warranty. Am I being robbed off or is this correct. Can't be bothered chasing it up if it definately isn't covered.

    It means bearings, which are not covered by warranty, as they are consumables. However, if it's near new (saying you've done 300 miles or so), you can look at a claim based on the sale of goods act, stating that it's not fit for purpose

    Unfortunately they have done a couple of thousand miles.
