Best dates to look for end-of-line bike bargains?

Hey guys,
I recently found out that bike companies will be releasing the new range of bikes some time in the near future, but wondered when the best time to start looking is, and where.
I currently ride a Cube Agree GTC (2011 model), purchased locally in October of last year, which has been great, but am getting to the point where I think a slightly lighter bike, prone to less niggly repair needs, is in order.
Any advice would be much appreciated!

Now. Most of the big brands will start trading out 2013 bikes now and if you want a particular bike in a particular size / colour etc you need to keep your eyes pealed. Also worth looking at some of the online own brand retailers as quite often they also cut prices or put really good packages together at this time of year.Life isnt like a box of chocolates, its like a bag of pic n mix.0

All the distributors typically offer dealers discounts on 2013 'dead' stock / end of lines in order to clear-out for 2014 models which are starting to arrive. It depends on the brand / model / size as popular models will be sold-out or not discounted. Best deals are usually found with the biggest dealers like Evans rather than your LBS who doesn't have the same purchasing power.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

My local Specialized dealer was offering 20% off 2013 models plus some discount *from* the shop, all in all about 30%, was offered, a 4.4K Euro di2 Tarmac for 3K Euro so lots of deals if you ask. Many LBS deals are going to do better than internet deals too imho.0

Sometimes at this time of year (but maybe later?) Evans Cycles run an event where they sell their ex-demo and other shop-soiled bikes off cheaply at an event at the warehouse shop in Crawley. Whats available is quite random but you could get something at a good price if you are quick (you have to go there in person though)0

Hi - slightly off topic, but what niggly problems have you had with the Cube? I am currently considering either the Cube Agree GTC Pro (2013) or the Cube Agree GTC SLT (2013). Both are discounted in CycleSurgery (trying to justify the latter in my head due to better frame/groupset).
I'm also considering the Trek Domane 2.3 and 4.5 (haven't 100% made my mind up between carbon or aluminium!). Test riding all four at the weekend, but would be interested to hear about your views of the Cube as a quick search on this site didn't return much.
Cheers,

You don't need to justify to us why you need a new bike. N+1 always rules ;-)0 -
I also would like to hear about the problems with cube as I too am looking to possibly purchase the gtc slt di 20

Hi Richie - for what it's worth, I test rode the Cube at the weekend, and found the ride really harsh. Maybe the saddle, or the general setup of the bike, I couldn't quite tell. So while the performance seemed good, I couldn't see myself comfortable for 3+ hours at the weekends. Am now seriously considering the Trek Domane 4.5.
