i fitted my new shimano tigra fc4603 chainset 2 months ago and its has now got play in it for the 3rd time, i also replaced the bearings and when i last checked them today the right side seems a bit rough when i turn it and has play in it, im thinking the bearings gone because of the chainset keep coming loose, shimano says i should have a spacer fitted and also a ring fitted for the fc4603, i have fitted the spacer but still cant find anywhere to buy the ring which also fits on the left crank side.

the O ring is normally pre fitted as id the spacer.

are you sure they were not already there?

On my 105 triple (5603) there is an o ring in the chunky spacer on the drive side, but no o ring with the flatter non drive side spacer.
