Can anyone recommend a set of wheels that would fit a Boardman CX, they need to be disc compatible
just looking for a set to put road tyres on so I can quickly swap from CX to road to use in the winter so not wanting to spend too much
thanks

Ask your local shop if they can build some. Or get a 29er set. £175 ish plus any labour will get XT hubs, Mavic 319 rims built with DT competition spokes in silver. My lbs doesn't charge labour if you buy all the bits from them.0

Don't get a 29er... most 29er rims are an absolute bitxh to fit a 700 tyre on and will limit significantly your tyre choice to big knobbly stuff that you don't want. Choose a 700 C rim, which will take road tyres, cross tyres and touring tyres.
Or... you can chose to go tubeless, but that's a whole new faff to fit the tyre on and realistically swapping tyres regularly is out of question.
I think an A 23 is the best of both worlds... will take any road and off road tyre, including tubeless onesleft the forum March 20230 -

What size road tyres can you get away with?0 -
Listen to Ugo.
Alternatively - speak to Ugo about building you some wheels...."If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always got."

Stan's Crest rims are OK with road tyres and are far better tubeless than A23s IME - I have both.Make mine an Italian, with Campagnolo on the side..0

No they are not... I've just sent a set back as it was physically impossible to fit a 700c tubed tyre on... I've tried 28 and 32mm and those were easy-fit tyres, that I normally fit by hand (Vittoria Randonneur and Gatorskin).
Also the pressure rating for Crest goes up to 4 Bar max (or so it says on the rim), which is a bit too low for road tyresleft the forum March 20230 -

Thanks.
A bit of googling and this does seem the case:
Kinesis Crosslight CXDisc Wheels V3 2014

Weight : Front 730 g / Rear : 900 g (total 1630g)
http://www.kinesisbikes.co.uk/products/ ... ght-cxdisc
Weight: Front: 840g. Rear: 960g (total 1800g)
Although it's unclear why the kinesisbikes.co.uk has out of date info (is this the official company website?)Simon0 -
