If your on your own with no helper, how do you use the feed zones for bottles etc? Do you put your bottles on a table or in a crate to pick up as needed, use a camelbak and carry all your water with you for the whole race?

Carrying all your water in a camelbak must surely be a big disadvantage with weight but then again having to come to a near stop to change a bottle would loose time also.

Anyone have any good tactics for this?

Either get someone to pass me bottles, or just put them on the ground and pick one up, loses a couple of seconds per lap. Never a Camelbak personally.

Old garden fork, lash one of those bottle carriers to it... its about the right height, not quite as quick as having a helper but you can stay on your bike to pick stuff up without too much hassle
A berm? were you expecting one?
