Im thinking of ordering a 2014 Giant next month but not sure about the stupid 1.25 - 1.5 headset. Can you get reducers to fit a normal tapered steerer?
Im possibly going for a Trance SX frame set but not if I cant get forks for it.

The frame won't come with a headset, correct? If so there's no issue, it's a standard tapered head tube, 44/56 IIRC and you can use any headset that will fit. AFAIK the only difference with the overdrive 2 headsets is the upper bearing is smaller, so the headtube is no different to any other.

Yep that's what I thought to. You should be able to use any tapered zero stack headset in the frame.

Use the Cane Creek headset finder to make sure. I'm confident it'll return back with a ZS44/56 headset or similar.
