I've recently purchased a trek remedy 7 2013, is it meant to come with a down tube protector as standard as mine has not but came with a chain stay protector fitted?. The shop says it doesn't but pictured on shop website shows one. (Evans)
Thanks Andy

Not positive but I thought they did, you could buy a carbon protector anyway as they offer more protection and obviously make you ride faster (being carbon)

Evans by any chance? Take it back. Get your cash back and buy from a lbs trek dealer. They are sh*t. The problems I have had with my bike due to their assembly is untrue. I should have really took it apart and started again but trusted them. Everything is wear and tear, nothing has a warranty.

Evans don't assemble the bikes, the factory does.

    Does it?

So all my problems are with the maker.. The crushed reverb, bent derailer, none greased parts, loads of creaking, incorrectly positioned chain device, chain not put together properly etc etc!! Wish I would have known I could gave spoke with Norco and maybe got some resolution. But then again I found the best LBS and it may have cost me to fix/put right but been worth it.

It does, that's why it's called a factory, and Evans is a shop. It sells stuff.
    But they should PDI properly.

  • Evans contacted trek and the next day one was ready to collect with a spare chain protector, im pretty handy with the bike stuff everything seems good just general gear adjust due to cable stretching, I have heard some bad press about evans but my first dealings were very good and saved a bit of money buying through them. also they said the trek warranty is about as good as it gets.
