Morning

Sat here for the first time in a week without a clue what I'm doing, I just know it's not sitting on a bike! 950 miles done - all for Macmillan/maybe I enjoyed it.

So today is all about family as we are down in Cornwall for another day - but rest assured it will involve the pub

So, how long did it take to do the entire thing then?
More importantly, you Strava'd it right?

Today I'm mostly sneaking in my 2nd, and final training ride before the end2end next week. I'm beginning to regret committing to doing it on the Rigid hopper. I've spent no time on a MTB this year, and whilst my fitness has improved LOADS on the roadie, I'm not entirely convinced I can make up more time on the climbs than I'll lose on the descents.

Hey-ho. It's done now. Just finished a nice bowl of MTFU and now it's time to ride. Laters homos!

PS. Our "Team PokerStars" kit arrived on Friday from Velotec, and it looks AWESOME!

    Morning,

I guess no one can now say they were H'd unless they hopped on a bike and rode 950miles just to get pissed! Well done to you both.

Off to work for a couple of hours. As I'm working 7 days this week I've empowered the minions so I can go sit in the gym.

    Morning bumders

We have internet up here in the lakes which is nice, this is the first proper week since December I've had where I'm not working/revising. Consequently there will be a lot of generally being lazy and reading, with bikes thrown in for good measure.

Really fancy taking the bike up Helvellyn, last time I was up here we were right close to it but the weather made it a stupid idea. Hopefully later this week it'll be decent weather, if not I'll just hike up there anyway, just don't fancy the ride/hike-a-bike up there by myself if the conditions aren't great for it.

Anyway, today will involve meh and bikes at some point I hope.

Well, today I've been playing for a service, which is interesting when you can only use one foot. There was a lot of dud notes, but I got through it with not too many mistakes.

This afternoon I'll be going through applications for my new minions. Fun. Then I'll be going back to another service, fudding some more notes, then back to Huddersfield with my crazy aunt.

  • FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK!

So while I was out on my ride, I noticed my old HTII BB was farked. No worries, I have a couple of spares in the garage, will sort it when I get home.

Get home, proceed to remove the old one and go to fit the new one.

Felt a bit tight, nothing terrible though. Course, when it's done, it's VERY obviously cross-threaded innit. C0CK!

*Hangs head in shame at being such a hamfisted, fuckwitted dingleberry.

Good news is it's the 7 year old hopper and not the Reed. Bad news is that it's also the bike I was going to use in the E2E and just spent a small fortune on.

    Afternoon Mongs,

Been out all day, stuffed face, had plenty coffee, caught the sun. Now feeling lazy. That is all.

Stop being an f-ing drama queen and just use the other bike.

    Evening, globits

Eight hours spent in Skunkwerkz sorting a cylinder head gasket - hopefully all done and dusted now, ready for the CC2CC ride. Just finished catch-up on the MotoGP, now onto the WC DH!

Matthew - fair f*****g play to you! Magnificent job.

Onwards! Actually, to the shower first, because I've just realised I stink like a week-dead badger under the back porch!
