I always say Sram with smile on my face, because in Polish it means 'taking a dump'

That Sright they all say it wrong.

  • It's probably 'cos sr doesn't really happen at the start of English words. (cue many people telling me sr words)
  • Sram never made sense to me, so I always assumed it was S-ram. It's a very odd word. These days I have learned the error of my ways, but still find myself wanting to revert...it's just not right.

I think its pronounced Shhhraaaem - with a heave CA accent. I have watched their youtube vids so many times for servicing shox and bleeding brakes.

maybe people confuse it with S-Works
  • Its Durrache...with a spanish accent

Sram should be pronounced simply with a slight note of disdain.

    Or just 'not Campagnolo'. :D

    FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

    Q: What does SRAM mean?

R: SRAM is the conglomeration of our founder's [sic] names, Scott, Ray and sAM. The initials
provided a simple way to come up with a corporate name that could be trademarked and directly
translated into languages other than English. It is not pronounced S-RAM, SchRAM, or SkRAM.
    Just SRAM.
