Bottom bracket compatibility question

Hi
I currently own a Specialized hardrock pro 2010 and the spec states that the current crankset + BB is; Shimano FC-M361-8, Octalink spline chainset, 42/32/22 tooth chainrings.
The chainrings are worn and the BB is creaking and someone locally is selling a Shimano Deore FC-M510 with a BB to suit. e.g. http://velospec.com/components/shimano/fcm510 but not sure which BB.
I'm new to bikes and wondered if there's a way that I can tell if this new setup with fit my bike. I'm fairly confident that the Chainset will be ok, just not sure about how to select a correct fitting BB.
Many thanks.

It will fit but you should probably have the BB shell faced.
It's an external BB so will fit with spacers - assuming your BB shell is 68mm it will need 2 on the drive side and 1 on the non drive side. The spacers should come with it.I don't do smileys.
