Currently rebuilding my Marin, It will be as picture apart from graphite grey brakes and groupset and lose the yellow seat. I'm thinking about having it powder coated to make it look a bit more modern but just wanting opinions on colors etc.

I did think about polishing the frame up and having the swingarm done candy red to match the pedals or the frame Candy red and polish up the swingarm or any ideas to what other colors would suit accepted :D

I did see a bike looking very smart the other week painted a deep "Cadbury" purple colour, coincidentally another single pivot bike, you know the one, an Orange 5...

that colour scheme reminds me of 90's ski suit

I cant be doing with the yellow though  The frame is lacquered and is lifting in places too which annoys me although paint stripper and polish would sort that

A deep, lush candy red over metallic silver basecoat always looks lovely:

Red is fastest, black is easiest to match. Some sort of camouflage paint scheme won't show the dirt so much.

Cheers. I built it for an ex girlfriend, from her awful crash damaged, rusted wreck (it was blue originally). What I should've done was set fire to her hideous wreck and told her to f**k off, but hindsight's always 20-20...

The pic doesn't do justice to the candy red, it's a gorgeous colour.

    Raw is lighter.......

Or go to Halfords and look along the racks and see what takes your fancy, my fancy was Ford Metallic purple.
