Hi everyone, just joined the forum. Been pottering about on a Trek 1.2 for the last two years and picked this new steed up a week ago.
Spec:
Frame: Sensa Giulia carbon
Forks: Supra Carbon
Bars: Supra Carbon
Seat Post: Supra Carbon
Groupset: Full Ultegra 6800 Double
Pedals: Look Keo 2 Max Carbon
Wheels: Mavic Aksium
Tire: Schwabe Lugano
Weight: 7.00kg
Rides like a dream compared to the old work horse. Can't wait to get out and rack the miles up on it.

Lovely looking bike. Can I ask if you purchased it as a complete bike from Merlin cycles as when I inquired about the Giulia with ultegra 6800 they said it would not be available until end of October. Would be interested to find out how you got yours with the new 6800.0

Yes, ordered through Merlin about a month ago. I didn't specifically ask for the 6800, was expecting the 6700. When I picked it up last week the guys in the shop were as surprised as I was to see it had the new 6800.0 -
Nice bike!
Do you ride with Chorley CC?0 -

Well this is odd.....just got off the phone from Merlin about ordering one of these bikes and they insist it will still come with ultegra 6700 but i can pay to have 6800 fitted at a cost of £650 !! or wait till the end of October when Sensa release the 2014 bikes. I stated I had seen the Sensa Giulia with it already on but they said not unless they bought the groupset separately. Seems like it would be hit and miss if i ordered it now which groupset it would come with !0 -

Thanks mate. Nope don't ride with the Chorley CC. I mostly go out on my own or with a group of mates, but I am a member of the Clitheroe Bike Club, just don't go out too often with them, occasionally the chain gang round the Bashall Eaves TT circuit.0 -

Very odd, as I said earlier I didn't specify the 6800. On the merlin website where you customise the bike I chose the Ultegra double groupset and when it arrived it had it on. I'm not complaining I think it would be better waiting til October if you definitely want the 6800 as you said it could be very hit and miss.0 -
Just to update on the 6800 situation. I wasn't happy with the phone call response from Merlin so I emailed customer services and asked the question. They then clarified with Sensa and did confirm that any bikes ordered now would come with Ultegra 6800 (if doing the custom build) as they had no more stock of 6700.
Would just like to say also that Merlin Customer Services on email were excellent.0 -

I have the same bike but with Di2 The factory standard wheels are poor and I'm looking at the Shimano Dura Ace 7900 C50 as well. How are they on the bike? Whats the ride like? Thanks! Looks awesome by the way.0
