Hi I've just bought a Haro Xeon VL160 frame and a fox RP23 rear shock as i want to build a bike, I'm not going to use it for anything serious and I've got a £140 budget to get some forks i don't mind second hand ones any recommendations thanks

I would say no more than 50 miles, otherwise the whole fork budget goes on fuel.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

You need a 160mm fork for this frame.0

Used Domain RC is a safe buy as long as its in good condition. Simple, solid and last forever. Bit of weight to it though.
Avoid the basic Domain R, its a bit rubbish.Transition Patrol - viewtopic.php?f=10017&t=130702350 -

You need 160mm forks! 150mm at a push. Rebas are 120mm max.0

Travel refers to the amount a fork compresses from fully expanded to fully compressed. It is measured in mm as above.
You need the right lngth fork for the frame, too long and the bike will look like a chopper, too short a dragster, either effect the way it rides which will be like a pig.Currently riding a Whyte T130C, X0 drivetrain, Magura Trail brakes converted to mixed wheel size (homebuilt wheels) with 140mm Fox 34 Rhythm and RP23 suspension. 12.2Kg.0
