Anyone doing The Ride of CHAMPIONS?

The Ride of Champions is this Sunday (September 1st).I've been told there will be some route markings but it sounds like we've got to follow a detailed map which I'm a little bit nervous about. Did anyone do the ride last year? If so was it fairly straight forward?

    I guess that's a big fat "NO" then. Well I was amongst the sixty odd riders who completed it a few hours ago It was defiitley one of my best rides this year - a most perfect ride it was a nicely marked out route - essentially the Olympic Road Race route. The final 15 miles took us from Richmond Park too Hyde Park. That was definitley not a good idea at 3pm in the afternoon. Other than that error I'd give the Ride Of Champions 6/10 ; food/water stops were pretty good, and were set every 25 miles; £59 is expensive; support/help and back up were good - a mate got given a spare bike.
