I picked up a used Defy 2 last November.
It came with Kenda something or others which I think were the original tyres.
They seemed fine but were showing their age so I replaced with Vitorria Rubino Pro's in 700x x 25 size which I have been very happy with on what is my first road bike.
I would give the original tyres a good try and see how you get on before spending cash on what could be an unnecessary upgrade.0 -
Thanks for both your replies, I think I will give them a try first and see how I get on, if they are bad I will get a set of gator skins I think.0

I've had a Defy Comp for almost a year. I had one puncture after hitting a pothole, apart from that no real problems, but they don't seem to have a long life. It probably doesn't help being a heavyweight. I replaced mine with GP4 seasons and noticed an immediate increase in speed.0

I have a new Defy4, unfortunately I had 3 punctures in a week, maybe just bad luck, I replaced them with Gatorskins and touchwood nothing since in around 800 miles.0
