Removing Campag Centaur CT Chainset

Hi,

I am trying to remove my Campag Centaur chainset, I have been able to pull the left crank out but cannot pull the drive train side out. It wobbles slightly but it just won't budge at all, its as if something else needs unscrewing. I have removed the center nut which is the only thing that holds both cranks together. Has anyone got any experience with this chainset or at least another chainset like it?

Have you removed the spring clip that fits in the slot around the DS cup?

There's a retaining spring that sits between the back of the right crank and the screw-in cup. You place the tip of a screwdriver under the looped bit of the spring and push upwards so it pops off. Never had to do this myself but this is how my ultra torque crankset instructions describe removal.
